Yelling Mom Review
Plan for today, tomorrow and some day with this new gesture-driven to-do list reminder app for iPhone.
YellingMom is a reminder app – What else could it be with a name like that, conjuring up, as it does, an image of your mother barking orders. While the app doesn’t actually shout – it does, however, have alarms – it is actually easier to manage than the average mum, too.
You can sort your items into ‘Today’, ‘Tomorrow’ and ‘Some day’ which makes searching for what you need to do in the immediate future much easier. The views are easily cycled between and there are loads of gesture controls that allow you to put off items to tomorrow or some day with the length of the swipe corresponding to the timeframe.
That ease of use permeates the entire app and whether you are swiping left to mark items as important, holding them so they can’t be deleted or changing their order, you soon get the hang of what you need to do. Adding reminders is also simple and the app allows you to have reminders every hour if you so wish.
Indeed, it is entirely up to you when and how often the app reminds you of an event, with each reminder produced large on the screen as and when the reminder is needed. You can then opt to have it continue reminding you or tell it that you’re finally done.
A beautifully produced and intuitive reminder app that understands how you best need your reminders delivered.
