Help create the best social travel guide in the world

There are more than a few travel guide apps populating the App Store, but unlike many of them, Wenzani combines official guide information and an imaginative social element – by providing useful hints and recommendations from real people via the app itself.

Wenzani’s design is slick and simple, and after a quick sign up (it’s worth doing, particularly with Facebook or Twitter to see if any of your friends are using the app and get their recommendations), you’re ready to start exploring and adding some useful hints and tips to your own personal travel guide for others to discover and make use of.

Frustratingly, Wenzani seems entirely location based, meaning you can’t simply jump over to Morocco to help plan your next summer holiday. You’re pretty much stuck where you are, and while this might not be a bad thing for spur of the moment trips, or a night where you’re stuck for ideas as to where the best restaurant is, for those of us who have a penchant for planning ahead, it’s pretty useless.

Despite this, Wenzani does a great job of curating information from a variety of individuals and travel guide organisations across the globe, to provide some great recommendations of things to do, sights to see and places to be fed and watered. It’s social too, with the ability to ask your friends for recommendations from within the app, making it an extremely versatile solution and a worthy addition to any iPhone being prepped ready for a trip abroad.

Rated 4 out of 5

Wenzani might be a little restricted to where you’re stood at that moment in time, but it’ll tell you where’s great nearby.
