Tiny Review

Short and sweet – who says reviews have to be lengthy

Twitter has already mastered the art of short communication, and now Tiny Review is wading in with more of the same, only even shorter. You have just three lines of text to play with, and each line has its own character limit, so you need to be creative, the twist being that you also use a photo to get your point across. The saying goes that a picture paints a thousand words, and that’s exactly what the premise is here.

Tiny Review was only available in the US at first, but is growing steadily. It’s an interesting concept; log in and see reviews from people nearby of local attractions and then start adding your own for others to see too.

Adding a review is easy and it’s a simple case of taking a photo (either using the camera or pulling one from your photo album). You can then choose to share your review not only on Facebook, but via Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr and email.

Some may not like the fact that the app divulges your location, but that’s the point. Tiny Review wants you to review things in your locality, so knowing where you are is essential.

Rated 4 out of 5

The limitations of the reviews – three lines and a photo – makes for fun and creative thinking.
