Share your ideas and sketches with up to three other iPads live and uninterrupted

There are some apps we don’t realise we need until they fall right off the shelves of the App Store into our virtual shopping baskets. It’s safe to say that Sketchshare is one such app.

First and foremost, Sketchshare is a quick and easy drawing app that can be used to rough out thoughts and ideas and draw pictures. The sketching tool is fluid, with variable pen nib widths and a colour picker providing just enough scope to jot down whatever you need to. You can import images from your Camera Roll to place on the page and apply your own annotations before sharing them via email or tweets. But the real beauty of the app is that you can connect up to four iPads together via Game Center and have everyone on the same page. As if that wasn’t enough, the app also supports live voice chat, so you can brainstorm and develop your ideas in real-time while the meeting of minds is ongoing.

Future updates would benefit from more paper styles, drawing tools and effects, but as a device for remote working, it blew us away.

Rated 5 out of 5

It’s a very cool app for shared work, but it’s for its playful side that it’s highly recommended.
