Time-based task manager that lets you decide if you want to pay

Time management is a key part of staying productive, no matter the task you’re undertaking, and this is something that has been honed in on by the developers at Binary Hammer.

30/30 is based around a customisable timer that counts down on screen and alerts you when your time is up on a certain task. All this takes place within a sleek, gesture-centric interface; all as a free download that you have the option of paying for if you think it’s worthwhile. This is through the in-app store, which gives you three payment suggestions. Of course, you can choose to use it for free, and won’t lose any functionality.

30/30’s interface is easy to get your head around, with the list of tasks you create appearing in descending order down the screen, although you can lift and drag tasks to reorder them in levels of importance. The timer itself will instantly start counting down on the next task when one is completed, so it is worth taking the time to organise your tasks properly before starting the day.

You can set notifications, as well as turn your phone vibrate setting on and off to prompt you when it’s time to move on to something new, and the rolling nature of the timer means it can be a perfect companion for structuring your working day – especially in relation to when you need to give your eyes break from the computer screen.

The customisation aspect of the app is also very useful, in that when creating a new task, you can assign a label, colour and icon to help you differentiate tasks, and stay aware of what it is you’re actually supposed to be doing at any given moment.

30/30 thrives on its simplicity, with a quick tutorial built-in to the app as to-dos on your list when you first open it. In truth you won’t need to go through this intensely to ‘get’ how 30/30 works, and that is the biggest plus of this app, its intuitive design and functionality.

So if you are in need of something to bring structure to your day and make you that little bit more productive, 30/30 should be high up on your list of priority downloads.

Payment aside, 30/30 could be a headline-maker on its own.
