Lightt – Video life Review

Record and share snippets of your life with the world, thanks to Lightt for iPhone

If you’re a rather private person, Lightt probably isn’t for you. Sharing is an integral part of this video app and is achieved really very well. Lightt has been designed to enable you to create a continuous movie stream made up of lots of separately recorded videos. Each clip can be from 3 to 60 seconds in length but the overall recording can be as long as you like.

Smoothly flowing as a seamless stream with no editing required, it’s possible to composite key parts of a holiday, a party or even just a general video of your life. Of course, it is possible to edit the piece should you wish to, and this can be done at any stage. You can delete sections, rearrange the order, duplicate and even reverse the clip, which can be amusing. You can play the video back in super-fast time, and also add filters such as sepia or chalk for artistic finesse.

Sharing is a big part of this app, and your videos can be shared on your Lightt timeline for others to enjoy. They can also be emailed individually to friends and relatives, or uploaded to Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. The only downside to the app is that you must create an account or log in via a social network account since there is no alternative option. Although you are able to keep videos private, you may well be put off by being unable to use it simply as a video app, which is a shame as it really is wonderful with some great features.

Rated 4 out of 5

A superb free app that seamlessly records infinite videos. You will either love or loathe the social networking element.
