Lens Color Shopping by Fashionfreax Review
Put together the perfect outfit on your iPhone
Shopping on your smartphone is second nature these days – the trick now is finding ways to streamline the experience even further. The team over at Fashionfreax have hit upon a clever way of finding new additions to your wardrobe with the aid of your built-in camera.
The app uses your lens to detect object colours – so when you spot a great shade somewhere, all you have to do is point and hold. The app will then register the colour and bring up a library of outfits that match, complete with in-app links to buy anything that catches your eye. There are six clothing categories to jump between, and users can favourite items to come back to later – so initially you can just amuse yourself with some window shopping if you like.
Lens Color Shopping is backed up by a very nice, clean interface that makes your searching process very simple. The camera reacts live, with the colours it identifies constantly changing in the central marker. You can pause this with a tap once you’ve found the shade you’re looking for, before swiping upwards to see the options that have been gathered for you. It’s an effortless process, but one that plenty of fashion lovers out there will be genuinely excited about.
The essential download for fashionistas this season.
